Today, a number of antivirus are available in the market with mostly same price which make us difficult to choose which on to buy or which one not. Well I am not referring you to buy a particular antivirus but gonna tell you how to check an antivirus
.
- Download and install the trial version of antivirus you want to buy.
- Open Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad )
- Copy and paste the following code and save it as virus.com
If your antivirus catch this file as virus,it's good, rest you can judge yourself. I've tried this trick on Kaspersky antivirus and Quick heal. Both of them found it but I've heard that windows security essentials was not able to interpret it as a virus.
