How to make a site attractive?

Making a site is not a much typical job than to make it attractive and attract the visitors. To make a website get more traffic follow these steps :-

1. Make you website clean and light - To make a site attractive some people add more and more gadgets and scripts to a site which do not make it attractive rather decrease your visitor count. Make sure that your site is not overweight and does not take more than 10seconds to load. Your site must be clean so that your visitors can do what they want to easily. Never add those gadgets which are not really of good use.
2. Make your site navigation easier - Easier site navigation helps the visitors to reach their destination. If your site does not have a good navigation users may not be able to use given by you and they will be regarded as waste! So good navigation is a key point of a good website. Sitemap and navigation links are good options for this.
3. Make your site yours - I do not mean as becoming the administrator of this site but I mean to say that your site must contain purely your ideas and imaginations. Do not try to copy those sites which are already published on net. This will make bad impression of your site.
4. Advertise for your site - Most popular way making your site famous is promoting it by advertising for it. For this Google Adwords is a better option as it has access over millions of user and help in quick promotion of your of your site. Other than this facebook ads and other private advertising companies will too go. 
5.  Make your site useful - After all these your site address will only get space in users bookmarks if your site is really useful and people do not have any better option than it. People will only return to your site if they are getting some benefits in any form either in terms of services or other. So try to have such options in your site which distinguishes it from others
